    ASA Info

    Hello everyone!

Here is some information for the upcoming meet at Georgia Tech:

We are session #3, Thursday morning. The meet starts at 9:00 am. Our warm ups are from 8:10- 8:30. Please be on time for warm ups, since we are given such a limited time. We will be sitting on deck this year. I am going to get to GT early to try to save a spot of the team. I will then send out a reminder on where we are. Please write your swimmer's events on their arm before they get to GT. The coaches will then write the heat and lane when they arrive to the pool. The order of events are as followed:

    6 & Under free relays

    All Med redlays

    6 & Under 25 free

    All free relays

    6 & Under backstroke

    All remaining events

The one thing that does remain intact are the actual event numbers used in a regular ASA meet. So event 13 (6 and under girls free) will be followed by event 77 (7-8 girls 100 Free Relay).

12 and unders are the only ones that are required to go through the bullpen for their individual events. All coaches will be making sure each swimmer is where they are supposed to be. All relays and 13+ do not go through the bullpen. If you have a 12 and under swimmer please mark there backs with their name and "FNBL". Another very important detail is the the 15-18 girls will be swimming in the girl's pool this year, unlike in the recent years.

Finals are on Saturday. Top 10 relays, top 40 for 10 and unders and top 30 for 11 and up make it back to finals (plus the two alternates for each event). Remember, to make it back it is after all the sessions are over. Please make sure to RSVP for Saturday finals by Wednesday night. Even if you don't think your swimmer will make it back I will still need to know if they cannot swim so I can scratch them after our session is over. I will send out the finals entry list and psych sheet as soon as I can on Friday night. It is usually sent out pretty late that evening. Finals start at 11:00 for 6- 10 years olds and 4:00 pm for 11 and up. Our warm ups on Saturday are at 10:25- 10:55 and 3:20- 3:50. All swimmers (including alternates)  and relays must go through the bullpen for finals. If they do not go through the bullpen, an alternate will replace them and they will not be able to swim. If you have any questions I am leaving the link to the ASA website and also feel free to email me! This link also includes the entry lists, psych sheet, and results.
