5/16 - Fontainebleau Swim Team Update
A few updates as we close out our first week of swim practice.
Junior Coaches: I am happy to announce our Junior Coaches for the 2019 Swim Season: Kate Bacon, Keira Jones, Wade Parkes and Keely Sandberg. We are thrilled to have you participate both as swimmers and as coaches!
Swim Practice: We will NOT be having practice this Friday, 5/17. We will have practice tonight (Thursday) and then resume evening practices on Monday, 5/20. Also, starting Monday, swimmers will be able to access the pool deck via the 2 gates leading directly into the pool area.
Swimsuits/t-shirts: Ordering is now closed. For those that purchased new team suits and t-shirts for the season, we should have them prior to the first swim meet on 5/28. We will distribute at practice late next week, at the Swim Team Cookout or at the first Swim Meet.
Stock-the-concession-stand: Please sign up to help stock our concession stand! All your help goes into the success of our home meets. You can begin bringing items to the pool and place in front of the concession stand door starting on 5/24.

Memorial Day Cookout Fundraiser: Reminder to mark your calendars. We will be having a cookout on Sunday, May 26th at 6pm at the Fontainebleau pool as a Swim Team Fundraiser. All swim team coaches/members and their families are invited to join us. Look for an Evite to your inbox soon! And if any parents want to volunteer to help grill, let me know ASAP.
Swim Meet Volunteer Sign-up: Look for a sign up coming soon for our first swim meet. All swimmers participating in the meet must have at least 1 parent volunteer for a position to help our meets run smoothly.
Swimtopia app: Looking for a quick way to access your swimmer's best times and history, live event/heat bar (to know where we are in the meet), your meet job or to receive notifications? Then check out the Swimtopia app. Information link at the bottom of this email.
Alerts and Urgent Updates: I will be setting up a group on the Remind App for parents to receive urgent updates regarding swim practice cancellation, swim meet delays, etc. Look for a link to join our group coming to your inbox soon.
ASA Divisional Meet: Hot off the presses...while we normally pull a Thursday AM Session for the Divisional Meet at GA Tech, due to construction at GA Tech, we have been re-assigned this year to Wednesday, June 26th @ 9am. Please mark your calendars for this important date. The Championship Meet will still be held on Saturday, June 29th.
