Hello parents of swimmers,

Swim season start is just around the corner, so have a few updates before practices begin!

2021 Coaching Team: We are thrilled to announce our coaching team for the 2021 season:

Co-Head Coaches: Kate Bacon and Wade Parkes

Assistant Coach: Kimberly Brown

Junior Coaches: Elisabeth Levy, Luke Sandberg and Sophia Walker

They are excited and already planning for a fun 2021 swim season!

Swimsuit/shirt order deadline: The deadline to order swimsuits and t-shirts is Thursday, May 6th. If you did not order via registration and still need to order, please contact Jen ASAP so that we can ensure your order is ready for our first swim meet!

Swim practices: Swim practices are slated to start NEXT Monday, May 10th. The schedule is as follows:

5pm-6pm - 12 and under*

6pm-7pm - 13 and up*

*We will make exceptions on a case-by-case basis, but do want to ensure we keep swimmer grouped in their age ranges to keep focus in practice. 

Practices will run Monday-Thursday from May 10th - May 27th. Starting June 1st we will start morning practices Monday-Friday and evening practices on Mondays/Thursdays. Please reference the 2021 Handbook or the post on the Twisters team Swimtopia website for further details.

Be prepared to get in the water (suit, towel). Coaches will indicate if tennis shoes are required for any practice.

Swim Meet Dates: Our swim meet schedule is as follows (also listed on our team website):

Tuesday, 5/25: HOME vs. Kingsley 

Tuesday, 6/1: VIRTUAL vs. Huntcliff 

Tuesday, 6/8: HOME vs. Deerfield Spalding Lake 

Tuesday, 6/15: AWAY at Murphy Candler 

Monday, 6/21: HOME vs. Deerbrooke Waters

Pool Access: Welcome to all of our new swimmers! Since we have quite a few new swimmers this year, just a reminder that for any non-FSTC members, Swim Team only allows your swimmers access to the pool for swim practices, swim meets and any Swim Team hosted functions (IE Memorial Day weekend Fundraiser Cookout, Team Party, etc). If you want to convert your non-member status to becoming an FSTC member, please reach out to Jen by June 15th. I can help get you in touch with the FSTC Membership Director and we will move your non-member fees paid toward your FSTC Initiation Fees.

Volunteers: We are a small, but mighty team as is our Swim Team Board. We still need a few good volunteers to fill Board positions (you do not need to be an FSTC member to be a Swim Team Board Member). You can shadow this year in order to serve next year. Positions we are looking to fill: 

• Swim suits/merchandise (t-shirts, swim caps)
• Sponsorships
