Hello Parents,

The ASA Championships at GA Tech are a bit different this year, with there being a timed final ( meaning, we only swim at a divisional meet and they take the times from that meet to calculate the overall champions across all sessions). Also, different this year, spectators are NOT allowed inside the building and they are assigning teams to sessions based on numbers. What does this mean for us?

1. We don't know our ASA Divisional/Timed Championship Meet Date yet. It will be one of the 4 possible dates: 6/23, 6/24, 6/25 or 6/26 (most likely the Wednesday or Thursday date) and uncertain if we will have morning (9am-12:30pm) or afternoon (3:30-7pm) session. Still at GA Tech.
2. We have to register now BEFORE we know the date/time. So, we need to know now if your swimmer wants to swim and which 2 events they would like to swim. Relays will be assigned if we have enough swimmers in a particular age group.
3. Cost for the ASA Divisional/Timed Championship Meet is $40/swimmer. 
4. There WILL be a live stream of each session for you to watch--so don't feel like you will miss out completely on your swimmer swimming...it just won't be the same live experience as we have had in previous years.

What you need to do now:

1. Register your swimmer for the ASA Divisional Meet on https://fontainebleau.swimtopia.com/swim_meets (it's the last meet entry--ignore the date as it's just a place holder for now).
2. Payment can be made to Jen Belknap via check (made out to Jennifer Belknap) or Venmo @jenbelknap.
3. Registration / event selection is due Sunday, 6/13 @ 12pm ET sharp as we have to get all meet entries into ASAP immediately following.
4. Our team date/session time should be announced on 6/14 and we will share that information with our swimmers that will be competing as soon as it's available.

Feel free to stop me tomorrow at the meet if you have ANY questions, especially for our new swimmers who have never had the experience of swimming at the ASA Champs at GA Tech! While this is an unusual year, it is such a fun experience for our swimmers to get the opportunity to swim in the GA Tech pool that was used for the 1996 Olympics!
