Hello parents,

We are almost a week out from swim team season starting and have some important updates! 

2023 Coaching Team: It is my pleasure to announce our coaching team for the 2023 season:

Head Coach: Luke Sandberg

Assistant Coach: Sophia Walker

Junior Coaches: Rachel Belknap and Brooke Parkes

We are excited to have each of these talented swimmers also work as coaches this summer and look forward to a fun season of summer swim!

Mark your Calendars: 

• Spirit Nights:
  • Dine in or take-out: mention "Fontainebleau Swim Team" and a portion of the proceeds with go back to our Swim Team. Please support these local businesses as they have so graciously offered to support our team.
  • Friday, May 19th from 4pm-8pm - Gyro Gyro - 5000 Winters Chapel Rd #6, Dunwoody, GA 30360
  • Wednesday, May 24th from 4pm-8pm - Vintage Pizza - 5510 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30338
• Swim Team Practices:
  • Reminder, practice starts Monday, May 15th! The practice schedule can be found on the FTSC website or in the FSTC Handbook for 2023.
    • Mon 5/15 - Thur 5/18 and Mon 5/22 - Thur 5/25:
      • 12 and under* 5pm-6pm
      • 13 and up* 6pm-7pm
      • Note: no practice on Fridays and no practice on Memorial Day.
    • Morning practices starting Tues 5/30 (Mon-Fri):
      • 12 and under* 9:45am-10:45am
      • 13 and up* 10:45am-11:45am
    • Evening practices starting Thur 6/1 (Mon/Thur only)
      • All ages: 6:30pm-7:30pm
      • This practice is intended for those unable to attend morning practice.
  • *For swimmers in our 11-12 age group, we are offering parents the option to either swim in the early session or the later session, realizing some of this depends on siblings, etc. If you have any questions about which group your child should swim with, please reach out to Jen or one of the coaches ASAP and we can help you sort that with you.
• Swim Meets:
  • Our schedule is set, so go ahead and mark those calendars now! Note: We will look to send a communication out when it's time to declare your child's availability for each meet and to sign up for a job at that meet. All parents are expected to work a job position when your child is participating for home and away meets.
    • Tuesday May 30: AWAY at Spalding Woods (this is a triple meet and we will compete against Zaban also)
    • Tuesday, June 6: HOME vs. DeerBrookeWaters
    • Tuesday, June 13: HOME vs. DSL Swim Team
    • Tuesday, June 20: AWAY at Huntcliff
    • Monday, June 26: AWAY at Zaban **note: this is a MONDAY!

Merchandise: For anyone who ordered swim suits, t-shirts or swim caps--all orders have been placed at this time. We will be in touch soon regarding when they will be available to your swimmers.

Open position: Still searching for at least 1 person to help run our Meet Maestro software at swim meets--it's more data entry than anything and the program is very easy to use. Please let me know ASAP if you can help fill this role. We do need this person to be available for both home and away meets--but we have AIR CONDITIONING for our home meets--and a bird's eye view from the clubhouse deck of the meet!
