Hello parents,

2024 is well under way and so is planning for the upcoming Summer Swim Season! A few items I would like to bring your attention to:

• Results of the Fall Swim Team Parents Meeting We met as a team and FSTC membership in the Fall to discuss our future as a swim team. The overall consensus was to move forward with a team for 2024 and look for opportunities to expand our team, by possibly partnering with Lockridge Forest. I have reached out initially and hope to have more info here soon. But we are full steam ahead, regardless, for 2024. Also, with that came the need for more volunteers for open board positions in 2024 and 2025 -- and I'm happy to report that parents stepped up. We really can't do this without our volunteers! The team thanks you!
• We are hiring! If your child is interested in being a Head Coach, Assistant Coach or Jr. Coach, please have them email me by February 15th. Please include the position you would like to apply for and if applying for Head/Assistant Coach, please include a resume.
• Practices and Swim Meet Schedule As you start preparing for your summer plans, here's some key dates for you to keep in mind:
  • Practices begin Monday, May 13th in the afternoons
  • Swim Meets: Tuesday, May 28th, Tuesday, June 4th, Tuesday, June 11th, Tuesday, June 18th and Monday, June 24th
  • ASA Championship will be a timed final again this year and we will likely compete on either Wednesday, June 26th or Thursday, June 27th.
• Registration will open by the beginning of March--look for details soon!
