OTHER DETAILS
1. Each family should bring a large side dish. Green salads, pasta
salad/dishes, or fruit salad. No watermelon. No dessert.
(The Twister Cafe is how we make money for our team to pay coaches, etc. You
can purchase hotdogs/hamburgers hot off the grill for dinner. There are side
dishes for you to purchase and drinks/dessert. Our whole family has typically
eaten dinner at the Twister Cafe every home meet during swim season.) We’ll
be accepting cash or Venmo (no credit cards) as payment.
2. Please remember to leave the parking lot for the visiting team. Park out
on the street on ONE side of the road.
3. Swimmers should arrive at 4:00 PM.
4. If your child is swimming on Tuesday night, please sign up for a job. We
have more jobs when we are hosting a home meet. There will be job training with
the official at 5:15PM. We try to start meets on time at 5:30PM.
5. Our team sits on the side of the pool where the deck is. The side of the
pool adjacent to the sidewalk is for the visiting team.
6. PARENTS - Please talk with your children and let them know that swimmers
are responsible for getting lined up for their events on time. The official
will start the event without someone in their lane. The deck of the clubhouse
will have each event number posted as the meet moves on and there will be an
announcer for events.
7. I am your Meet Manager. If you have any questions about the meet, please
reach out to me, I will be happy to answer questions. I will be coordinating
all the job workers. Please find me when you arrive, and I will help you get
started. If you are working the second shift and this will be your first time
volunteering at a swim meet, you can shadow the first shift person and watch
them a few minutes before you start. Again, please find me and I can direct you
to your job and answer questions.
Thank you.
